I clicked on your profile today and the first song that played was "total eclipse of the heart" and all I could think of was that terrible swinging carnival ride you marie and I went on.
I agree, this can be a long conversation. lol! I tried to type out a comment but it ended up being two paragraphs, working on a 3rd before I decided that perhaps we could exchange thoughts via message.
Either way, I hope that your day was well and that you sleep even better tonight.
We switched. I used to hate xmas shopping. I still don't care too much about it, I strongly dislike being around the holiday rush. Too many idiots. (just look at Black Friday!) However, I discovered that if I took a step back and just went through the motions patiently, listening to my friends and family, I know exactly what they want. Its as if I hit the slow motion button in my life and didn't allow myself to be consumed by the rush. Its much more pleasant now. Does that make sense?
And no, I do not think you are horrible. Whatever works for you is the ideal way to handle the shopping. If you can still tack meaning to the gifts: kudos!
I have jumped from swimming pool to hot tub. That is more of a burning sensation than a tingling. Now reverse it, and I imagine the tingling sensation of the ice cold water as it swallows my body. Gives me a chill to think of it.
This cold front is supposed to stay until next week. If Mr. Weatherman is correct, it'll be back up in the 60's-70's. Damned Texas weather...
My day was beautiful. Gray skies and a cold wind that chilled to the bones. Surprisingly it felt a little good. Almost like I dipped myself in Listerine. ;)
I have no bad memories of Houston. My time there was spent with relatives who lived there. Unfortunately I no longer have that connection to visit Houston. I know the one thing I didn't care for, is the humidity during summer. Ick.
I know exactly where those areas are. I am roughly 25 minutes from Grapevine. If you don't mind my asking, what used to bring you to the area? I've only been to Houston a handful of times. I really don't remember much about it except that its a short drive to the shore.
Good afternoon Phoenix!
I imagine that by now you are at work. I hope that the day passes smoothly for you.
I should correct my city, I meant for it to say D/FW. I live equal distance from the two. Perhaps now you are familiar with where I am?
